STRONG WOMEN
CIGAR, CHARM AND SKILL - WITH WOMEN'S POWER THROUGH THE HISTORY OF VIENNA
They are present, the gentlemen in the history of Vienna - as rulers, musicians and entrepreneurs. But Vienna's history is also full of women's power, and we let ourselves be carried away on this tour! For example, the fashion designer Emilie Flöge, also known as the Coco Chanel of Vienna. Maria Theresa was never supposed to rule, but in the end she was worlds better at it than many of her male predecessors and successors. There were other powerful women in the House of Habsburg - and we meet them at the imperial Hofburg Palace.
Would Archduke Karl never have become a shining hero without his aunt? Hero number 2 in the same place, Prince Eugene, also owes the salvation of his career to the strong woman at his side. At the Sacher, on the other hand, Anna Sacher teaches us how successful women were as entrepreneurs, self-promotion included! Directly opposite, a famous salonière was also active in networking and brought Johann Strauss' son together with his manager - his future wife! Eugenie Schwarzwald successfully fought for education for women, as we finally learn at Franciscan Square.
