PUBLIC TOUR MOTHER'S DAY
CHILDREN, CROWN AND CAREER
- ENTERTAINING CITY TOUR OF VIENNA'S POWER WOMEN
They were mothers, entrepreneurs, daughters and visionaries. They wore crowns, did extreme sports and smoked cigars! Vienna's history was decisively shaped by its strong women. Around Mother's Day, we immerse ourselves in the exciting history of the city and follow the trail of the power women!

We start our tour with the Habsburg mother par excellence - but Maria Theresa was also a stroke of luck for Habsburg rule and a real marketing genius! We continue in the direction of the Hofburg palace. Not all Habsburg women were happy in marriage; some empresses are even said to have taken scandalous paths. But the influence of Sisi & Co. was often great and even the heroic deeds of Archduke Karl are due to his aunt's foresight.
The Albertina, the Hotel Sacher and the Capuchin Crypt - three institutions that couldn't be more different? True, but we recognize one thing in common on our tour: all three were decisively shaped by great women and their visions. At the picturesque Franziskanerplatz we meet a controversial pioneer of education and even at St. Stephen's Cathedral we discover the influence of a proud and clever duchess.
