SCHOENBRUNN PALACE

BAROQUE SPLENDOR, MAGNIFICENT GARDENS AND STORIES FROM THE IMPERIAL FAMILY - GUIDED TOUR OF SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE

Empress Maria-Theresia and her great-great-grandson Emperor Franz Joseph felt particularly at home at Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Habsburgs. On our tour, we also admire the pompous grounds, which are grouped around the noble Court of Honor. We then enter the palace and enter another world full of lavish parties, audiences and glittering concerts. The Great Gallery in the center is breathtaking, even as we try to count the countless candlesticks, the baroque ceiling paintings cast a spell over us. But we want to know more: where did Maria-Theresia receive her guests, where was the bedroom she shared with her husband Franz Stephan and what was she like as a mother of 16 children? Precious parquet floors, Chinese vases and lacquered wallpaper and rooms that seem to be made entirely of porcelain - a visit to Schönbrunn Palace is not only a feast for the eyes, but also brings Habsburg history to life before our very eyes!

Of course, we won't forget to take a look at the palace's impressive gardens. Fragrant flowerbeds, magnificent avenues and countless statues also make this part of the tour a feast for the senses!

Tour duration: 1.5 to 2 hours
